Saturday June 19th, Metro BMX will be hosting a Race For Life Double Points Race benefiting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Everyone is welcome to participate, no membership is required for this race. Entry fee is $20.00 per race. Sign-Ups are 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.

Race For Life was started in honor of Todd Kingsbury, a BMXer from Michigan who had Leukemia. When Todd’s friends and the American Bicycle Association learned of his diagnosis, it was decided that an organized effort should be made to help in Todd’s “Race for Life.” The first ABA “Race for Life” events were formed that year, with over 130 tracks participating and raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
