From Sam Ames:
Hi everyone, this Saturday we have a course cleanup for a couple hours on Round Mt. road 8am to noon May 8, 2010.
I am looking for a few more volunteers so please forward to any emails groups you have, thank you. I know it’s not glamorous, just one more small part to help make the race look sharp on TV and for all the crowds. Couple hours and we’re outta there
Here are the details:
We will meet at Camp Okihi at 7:45 or so. Please bring a pickup truck if you have one—A site map is attached which shows the cleanup area, bin drop off location and volunteer meeting area.
The plan is for volunteers to walk along side of the road putting the fly-away litter into the trash bags. Volunteers with pickup trucks will come and pick up the full bags and take them to the bin site location. Sam Ames is recruiting volunteers for the event. If anyone knows someone who would like to participate, please let Sam know ( sam@teamactionsports.com).
Varner Brothers will be delivering the bins for the clean up at Camp Okihi on Friday, May 7. Trash bags and gloves are provided!
I plan on riding my MTB with my BOB trailer and get a workout!
Thanks to everyone !
